CELEBRATE 50 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE PRESS CONFERENCE |
Cooper High School hosted a press conference in the AV room of the library. The 2010-2011 school year marks Cooper’s 50th year of educational excellence and many events are have been planned for the school year, highlighted by the annual Homecoming weekend to showcase the Honor and Pride of Cooper High. As we kickoff the celebration, we hope everyone will make plans to attend and participate in all festivities.

Student Council election meetings are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 23-24th, at 8 a.m. or 3:45 p.m. in Room 221. You must attend one of the four scheduled meetings to be eligible to run for the 2010-2011 Student Council. |

COOPER FFA DAIRY FOODS TEAM |
Congratulations to the Cooper FFA Dairy Foods team, who placed 7th at their first contest. Angela Scoggin was 16th high individual, Mark Patee placed 21st. Other team members were Amanda Aguilar, Dustin Leonard, and Riley Beltz. Also, congratulations to Mystica Garcia for her performance in the land judging contest she was 16th out of 91 contestants! HOLLAND MEDICAL HIGH SCHOOL |
Four Cooper students representing Holland Medical High School have qualified for the state Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) competition. The four Cougars joined teammates from Abilene High to win events at the HOSA Area 4 Conference held last weekend in Amarillo.
Qualifying for state from CHS were:
Seniors Alfred Bayaton and Samantha Koss, 1st place in Biomedical Debate
Senior Kristie Norton, 1st place in Community Emergency Response Team
Senior Johnathan Tapar, 1st place in Medical Reading.
The four Cougars will be part of the Holland Med High team to compete in April at the state HOSA conference in Houston. |

CHS STUDENT COUNCIL TO NAVAJO NATION |
.jpg) The Cooper Student Council made its eighth trip to Chinle, Arizona on January 13. Cooper sent 33 students and 15 sponsors for a total of 48 people. The theme for this year was: We All Have Five Fingers. The student council group has been preparing for this trip for almost a year. In addition to their friendship and fellowship, the student council took food, clothes, blankets, toys, feed for animals and much, much more. Click on the logo to the left for a recap of the trip.. |
