Cooper choir members were recently awarded honors in competition. District honors go to: Chris Aguilra, Brandon Bateman, Lindsey Brannon, Jessica Crawford, Meredith Frigo, Alicia Gonzales, Verity Harden, Bianca Luna, Ashley Mitchell, and Christy Wilson.

Special recognition goes to Jessica Crawford and Brandon Bateman as they advance to Region choir and Pre-Area finalists.

BPA ATTEND LUNCHEON
The Cooper chapter of Business Professionals of America attended the annual Torch Award luncheon on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University. Whitney Collins, Trevorra Gilliard, Becca Nelson, and Staci Stovall represented Cooper. The Cooper BPA chapter is sponsored by Sherry Stewart.

BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS OF AMERICA
The officers for 2009-2010 Business Professionals of America were recently elected. The students and their position are listed below. BPA has already collected money for the annual Heart Walk as their first service project. They will continue with various projects throughout the year, ending with the Special Olympics in April, 2010.

HEART WALK - 2009
Cooper faculty and staff participated in the annual Heart Walk benefitting the American Heart Association on Saturday, October 3. The campus raised close to $600 and made their donation on Saturday. Thank you to Sherry Stewart, Cooper Heart Walk coordinator, and to the students and faculty that made donations.

COOPER HALL OF FAME
Congratulations to three former Cougars as they were inducted into the Cooper Hall of Fame. The induction took place during the homecoming pep rally on Friday, September 18. Immediately following the pep rally, the inductees were honored at a reception and then a luncheon. Prior to the kickoff of the varsity game at Shotwell Stadium, they were introduced. HOMECOMING QUEEN NOMINEES
Congratulations to the 2009 Homecoming Queen nominees. The 10 nominees were announced during the pep rally on September 11. The top three finalists were revealed at the September 18 pep rally.
